I am an aspiring wildlife photographer and natural history filmmaker from China, driven by an unwavering passion for harnessing the power of storytelling to instigate meaningful change. Currently based in Bristol, I am pursuing UWE’s MA in Wildlife Filmmaking in collaboration with the BBC NHU.

With a bachelor’s degree in Ecology and a master’s degree in Environmental Health Sciences from Yale University, I have cultivated a profound connection with nature. My journey has taken me from researching agrobiodiversity in remote villages in Southeastern China to studying arthropods in the United Nations Buffer Zone in Cyprus. Over time, my fascination with observing and exploring nature has transcended scientific research. Armed with my camera and honed creative storytelling skills, my ambition is to illuminate captivating narratives about China's native species and their intricate interactions with local communities.

My interests revolve around two main areas. Firstly, my expertise lies in sustainable agricultural practices that promote biodiversity and improve livelihoods. Secondly, I have developed a deep affection for the enchanting wildlife, people, and landscapes of the Tibetan Plateau.

I am also a GirlsWhoClick ambassador, a science influencer with a following of over 150k on Chinese social media, and a freelance writer, contributing a collection of engaging articles and videos to esteemed news agencies, magazines, and museums in China (see Writing page).
